Easy Almond Butter Recipe (Toddler Chef-Friendly)

A few weeks ago, I bought a sample of almond butter from Whole Foods for toddler boss to try and she loved it so much that I decided to add it to our repertoire. So easy to make; all you need are a few ingredients and a good food processor.  In the photo below, we used it to make "sandwiches" for a little tea party.  One batch makes about 20 of these, so they're also a great peanut alternative for easy group treats.

RECOMMENDED AGES:  12+ months.  Click here to download our easy baby food reference chart to keep track of which foods you can introduce to your baby and when.

SUGGESTED PAIRING: Try making this while your little one is wearing the Burpa Bib in Polka Party.

ACTIVE TIME: 15 mins (may vary depending on your food processor)

  • 9 1/2 ounces dry-roasted unsalted almonds
  • 4 teaspoons almond oil
  • 3 teaspoons agave nectar
  • 2 teaspoons organic vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    1. Add all ingredients to food processor.

    2. Process in 2-3 minute spurts, taking breaks to scrape the mixture from the sides.

    3. Repeat Step #2 until the mixture is smooth(ish).

    4. To make sandwiches, spoon about 1 teaspoon between two whole wheat crackers.
