Yep, that's right, I was named "Super Mom of the Week" by BigCityMoms.com for the week of 12.29.13!  Such an amazing honor and a title that will ALWAYS be a work in progress!

Below are a few snippets to get you interested (smile:-); click here to read the entire interview:

BCM: Congratulations on launching BambiniWare! What was your inspiration behind developing stylish bibs, collars and sleeves for babies and moms?

RHG: Thank you! It all started with a phone call to my aunt to make special beanies for Riley. But the beanies were just the beginning. Once I started thinking about all of the things that I wished I had as a new mom, but couldn’t find because they didn’t exist or didn’t fit my mommy style, there was no turning back. I started creating the products myself. In wee hours of the morning, when the entire house was sound asleep, I officially added “designer” to my resume. Soon after, Riley added “expert product tester” and “model” to hers.

My goal is to create fun and innovative products that help make the mommy + baby gig easier and refreshingly more stylish in the process. The bibs, collars and sleeves in BambiniWare’s inaugural Burpa™ line reflect my effort to help other moms tackle the various spills and thrills that babies bring with tools that make sense and look great too.

BCM: What has been the biggest challenge for you in motherhood? Any advice for new moms?

My biggest challenge in motherhood has been trying to manage all of the different roles that I play and at the same time save a little time and space for me. In order to maintain my sanity, I started discovering fun ways to sneak in a little “me” time during the course of my daily routine. I found that in order to make it work, I really had to get creative and committed. No matter what goes on in my day, I find time to do something for myself. It could be anything from sipping tea in my favorite mug to taking a bubble bath at 3 a.m. because that’s the only time that I can fully relax.

In the very beginning, just finding the time to take a shower was a major feat, but it was a start. If there’s any advice that I could offer to new moms, it would be to figure out what you can do each day that will help you take better care of yourself, which in turn will help you take better care of your little one(s) too.

I’m totally obsessed with…making “Holmemade” baby food. One of the many items on my bucket list is to write a cookbook for busy moms with the healthy and yummy recipes that I’ve created for Riley.

My biggest influence is…my mom. She taught by example what it’s like to be a successful working mom and to raise happy children who always knew that they came first, no matter what.

My favorite drugstore buy is…salt scrub. This is one of those “me” time treats that I like to sneak in now and then and I love how my skin feels afterwards.

My guilty pleasure is...Reality TV.

My favorite color is…Purple.

My favorite NYC activity is…when I lived there, I loved rollerblading through Central Park. Now, when I visit, my favorite activity is getting a good slice of NY pizza, which I sorely miss.

My favorite Washington, D.C. activity...Sunday brunch. My husband and I met over brunch and it’s still one of our favorite things to do together in the city.

My favorite NYC restaurant is…Blue Water Grill.

My favorite Washington, D.C. restaurant...Oya.
