Mango Guacamole with Blackened Shrimp Recipe 0

Our family loves guacamole, and I originally posted this recipe in 2015, when I showed #miniboss (who was then #toddlerboss) and her classmates how to make it.  Below is the the original post from January 2015, with additional updated information on how to make the grown-up version with blackened shrimp, as shown on The Riche Life. The sweetness of the mango balances the heat from the blackened shrimp so well (seriously, you will love this!), and the dish is so hearty that you can actually eat it as a small meal by itself. I know because I've done it...

How to Make All-Natural Spring Cleaning Products 0

It’s spring cleaning time at Grant Central and we’re making our own DIY natural cleaning products! Truth moment: I'm *way* more excited about the DIY part than the actual cleaning. #justsayin But, I do LOVE making my own products though because they're much so better for the environment (and way cheaper), way friendlier to my my migraine-prone senses, and of course safer for my cleaning-obsessed #miniboss than most of the commercial cleaners out there.     Each product that I'm featuring is super easy to make and requires just a few basic ingredients that you probably...

Cookies and Cream White Chocolates for Valentine's Day 0

#Miniboss and I both love white chocolate, so we decided to make cookies and cream filled white chocolates to give away for Valentine's Day. The whole process is pretty simple (yes!), and takes just 15 minutes of active time. The rest of the time (about 30 minutes) is spent letting each layer set in the fridge. The number of chocolates you make will depend on the mold you buy and how many cavities are inside. Our mold makes 12 medium-sized chocolates, so our recipe reflects that number.  SERVINGS: Will vary depending on molds (see above). ACTIVE TIME: 15 minutes SETTING TIME: 30 minutes...

DIY Bath Salts for Galentine's Day 0

I love making soothing bath salts to give away on Galentine's Day because they are so easy to make and make such sweet gifts too (I mean what woman doesn't need a little more relaxation in her life?). Note: For those of you who don't know, Galentine's Day is the unofficial (but pretty much official) holiday celebrated on February 13th when women all over celebrate the beauty of friendship, preferably with wine involved:-). The salts are there to soothe tired muscles and release toxins, the baking soda is there to soften the water and give your...
